It's been awhile since I posted but I have a question for the one's that have experience with towing a trailer. I have a 2003 honda accord with a 2.4 engine and would like to know what maximum size tent trailer I can tow. We will be 4 adults in the car and will be renting a tent trailer.Is there anything else I should know?

 

I'm not positive of this butreasonably sure that1000 lbs is max towing weight, check in manual or with dealer. Do not tow in overdrive and itwould be wise to change the transmission fluid prior to towing unless it has been done VERY recently. Do check the max towing weight, checking the weight of the trailer is a bit more difficult but must be done. Obviously go over the remainder of the car very well.....oil, tires, etc. Assuming the trailer is 1000 lbs or less I would add 5 psi to the rear tires being careful not to exceed the max on the sidewall of the tire.
