Default trans computer

After letting the local yard crush the 3 early 90s accords they had with out pulling the trans comps, I am highly regretting it now since it looks like mine might be fried. But then I was told it could be the solenoid as well.
How do I know if its one of the other?
My other questions are, what's the difference between them, and can I use one from a 94 and newer? Mines a 93
