Transmission related to ignition and brake light?

I have a 2001 Honda Accord LX (approx 150,000 miles). My transmission went out about a month ago so I brought it to my local Honda dealer. They installed the new transmission but starting the following day I started having problem with my key not coming out if the ignition. It doesn’t happen every time but when it does it’s very frustrating because I need to keep trying to put it in park about three of four times before the key will come out. So, I took it in asked them to take a look at it, they inform me they made some “adjustments” but that it may need a new ignition or a new key. I know it’s not the key because I tried by spare key which has hardly been used. Needless to say I’m still having problems with it. Could it just be coincidence or does my new issue have to do with the new transmission. Also, just this morning, my brake light came on and would not go off all the way to work (45 miles). Could this be related as well? It went off as soon as I out the car in park.
Please give me any advice,

The ignition issues shouldn't have anything to do with the tranny unless they have something (a cable or something) that controls the park sensor out of alignment, I don't know how the igntion suddenly went bad like that. Someone else should drop in soon and perhaps shed a little more light but it seems odd to say the least.
I think the key could be related via the park-key release mechanism ..... I think the brake lights are most likely something else. Does the car feel like the brakes are on a little when the lights are or do you expect mainly an electrical issue?
