Default Transmission slipping

Hey guys,
My car has 175k on the odo, so i guess its at that point where if the transmission were to start messin up, it'd be now. I AM having the fluid changed this thursday, just to see if maybe the screen just needed to be changed... But theirin lies the question: Is it possible a clogged screen/dirty fluid can cause the slipping? I tried some transmission SeaFoam and it worked a little. Or does my transmission most likely need to be rebuilt? Any ideas on what I can expect to to shell out if so?

sounds like internal issues........Honda had a lot of problems with those trannies , so much that they extended the warranty on them ,, but being that your car has 175k , they might say ,, No way Jose ..It is worth giving them a call , tell them that you have heard about all the issues Honda is having with the trannies and see if they are wiling to help you out
By the way , when changing fluid make sure to use Only Honda ATF-Z1

I'm having the fluid changed locally... I doubt this shop will use the Honda trans. fluid... is it really that big of a deal?

From what I hear, it is. Not sure why, but I've heeded that piece of advice.
