Default trim around the cassette deck

I have a 99 accord ex. I'm trying to remove the trim around the cassette deck but it seem hung on something. I took the two screws at the bottom out but it still won't come out. Please help

There is an additional screw in the back of upper pocket that must be removed, 7 panel clips that hold the trim piece in place. Pry carefully to release the clips.

Honda shop manual has this on page 20-87. Check automanualsource.com for a $22 download manual.

good luck

Sounds like the accessory cassette deck. See these instructions if it is the same unit:

http://handa-accessories.com/accord/...cassetteex.pdf

If it is the CD player or changer, then these:

Thanks for the info. It was the accessory unit. I didn't realize I had to pop the tabs in rear of the trim. I'll give it a try and report back.

Also I'm having a hard time pulling off the cigarette lighter from the wire harness. I lifted the tab with a screw driver and it separated a little but it is still stuck

This connector is tough to release. Try spraying some wd40 on connector to release friction. Patience is req'd.

good luck
