Default Trunk out of alignment??

Can the trunk of a '91 Accord be adjusted? It is somewhat hard to close, and when you open it, either with the key or the drivers side latch, it seems like it really pops up, like it is under greater than normal tension. I have a leak in the trunk, and am wondering if maybe the weatherstripping is not touching correctly somewhere around the perimeter.

From the outside of the car, does the trunk lid look lined up when closed, or is it a latch problem?

Here is a link for a 91 trunk replacement/adjustment. This may help get it aligned.

PA: The lid seems to sit higher then the top edge of the fender by maybe 1/8 of an inch...just barely. And I couldn't get the link to work.
