Brake light on in cool weather
2000 Accord two dr 4 cylinder w/auto trans
Whenever the ambient temperature drops below 65-70, the brake light comes on in the morning. It will go off when I apply the brakes and come back on for several miles until the engine compartment warms up and then it stays off for the rest of the day. It doesn't do this at all during the summer when even our overnight temps stay about 75. Thinking that the fluid level was right on edge and maybe showing low when cold, I've checked the level and it's full. The brakes work perfectly and were actually replaced in early summer. I forgot about this during the summer but would like to address it now. Any ideas?

That could be caused by the float inside the master cylinder.

Or search brake light float.
