Default UhOh. Need to RePin Immobilizer Plug

I was installing an immobilizer bypass and remote start in my wife's 2009 Accord. While connecting (strip and wrap) the Fortin Evo-All up to the (light green ) data wire on the immobilizer harness, I cut too close, and essentially severed the connection way to close to the plug. There's like nothing left to connect to. ( Note to self - If i ever do this again, not so close).

Help - I have never been successful at trying to repin anything. What do I do here ?

Can you post a picture of the connector?

You will either have to get that pin out of the connector, or get that wire harness from a junkyard and splice it in.

You have to stick a thin pin into the connector to release the pin. Suggest watching youtube videos to see how people get the pin out.

A pick set such as this one will also work, especially for deeper connectors: Sears.com

For most connectors, depending on the type of connector (there are some other types too), one of the following two is done once the pick or pin is inserted inside the connector's cavity:

  1. gently lift connector's inner plastic tab up off the metal terminal and pull wire out from behind; or
  2. gently push down on a metal tab on the metal terminal and pull wire out from behind (For this type of metal terminal, the metal tab on the terminal is pushed back up a little before re-inserting to lock the terminal back into the connector)
Try to see if you can determine how the terminal is locked in first.

I think you unlock the pin by going through the top slot above the wire you want to remove.
