Ok, So here we go. 1997 accord v6 -- About to do the valve seals, and timing belt (still havent done that one yet) -- but Im burning oil, and thermo gasket is dripping (so going to replace that too).. thermo gasket (easy) -- got plenty of info about timing belt...
Just curious about the valve seals.. I've searched and searched for info on doing these without pulling the heads.. Anyone have any good links (ones I have found got hit by photobucket, so no more pics)
Once I bought an accord, everything was good, but it was burning oil too, white smoke was coming out even when I had changed the oil 2 days ago. I ended up returning it.
Not to steal this thread but I literally just logged on to post the same issue. 2009 V6 126,000 miles. I won't do it myself but are the valve seals a good first attempt to slow it down? Adding an EASY quart ever oil change (app 4,000 miles) Advice please?
Ok, I know this is an oct. thread, but let me just say this for the 97 v6 valve seals --- NIGHTMARE.. total total total nightmare.. No where NEAR close to what they show in the videos.. Spring compressors? Forgetabout.... The ways the heads are design is pure insanity!
I had to use one of these and that barely worked... nightmare
