Default Vibration at 2000 RPM, 1999 Accord EX

I haev a 1999 honda accord ex, and when the engine is warmed up and the RPM are 1800-2000 there is a vibration coming from the front of the car (sounds like hair cutting clippers). I contacted the autoshop and am waiting for them to call me back but typically I find better answers online than actually taking my car to the shop. I noticed some TSB's referencing the problem, but have not been able to find an actual solution that I would be able to perform myself, or like last time I went to the dealer, I would rather diagnose the problem and say "if nothing shows up, then replace X".

Thanks

does it matter if you're moving or just sitting in the car?

Havn't tried it while not moving, I should add that it happens when accelerating adn decelerating, although it sounds stronger when accelerating.

Have you checked for loose heat shields around your exhaust?

no the car will need to be lifted significantly so you can get under there. when the cat converter shield gets loose it can make a rattle.

The heatshield around the exhaust manifold is right up front where you can't miss it. (It's the thin sheet-metal thing that hides the actual manifold. If that's not loose, you can reach underneath with a broomstick & beat on the exhaust to try & duplicate the sound. Usually what happens is the thin shield rusts around the mounting bolts until it comes loose & buzzes. Is that the kind of sound you're hearing? (I can't hear it from here...)

There's shields bolted around the cat, but much of the heatshields are bolted to the underside of the car, above the exhaust pipe. All you really need are good jackstands or ramps. You don't need a lift. But DON'T get under the car with just a jack.

Not sure if this helps but I had a similar problem on my old '90 Corolla. Turned out that I needed a new resonator. That car didn't have a tach so I couldn't tell you at what RPM's it did it but it happened in all gears when accelerating and decelerating.
