Default Vibration through 50-55mph, please help 2005 TD

I have a 2005, Honda Accord Tourer, 2.2td. i am experiencing a vibration through the engine whilst accelerating in 3rd gear through 50-55mph. it does not happen in any other gear. The wheels have been balanced, tires are fine. Has anyone any ideas of what this could be? many thanks

I don't konw because we don't get diesels here in USA. But I added "TD" to the thread title to attract the attention of our UK members.

Welcome!

I would have suggested worn axles (inboard CV joints) because it vibrates while accelerating. But that doesn't make sense to happen in only one gear.
