All ready cleened booth screens replaced vtec assembly vtc valve toke cam top off 1cyl. Still after war.m up only runs 2700 toms.can clear codes run fine half a mile code 2646 back on 2700 again.help...

 

I'll guess this is a 4 cyl?

Assume you checked the oil level.

Do you have a volt meter to test for continuity and that?

Any recent work, other than trying to solve this, done to the car. Are all of the connections to the vtec clean and tight.

 

Yes sir.4 cyl. This car has not had regular oil changes. Sluge build up coated booth screens.cleened them 2 times.Also 2 oil changes in 500 miles this time added half Qt marvil mystery oil. Iheard it may be the rocker arm switch. car has 146.999 on it. runs fine for10 12 miles. ck engine light comes on 2700 rpms and bucks badly.stop clear code 2646 out runs good again.mile or so. Thanks

 

It could be the switch. There is some testing you can do, the testing is a bit long to post here.
