96 accord lx 5-speed MT. Obd2.
Engine Block is stamped with only "F22B" and a "H22" .. top of valve cover shows vtec logo also has vtec solenoid....spark plugs are on the front side of valve cover...
But when I research I'm not sure vtec was in lx model... unless previous owner changed something. Can Anyone can help clarify please? Or how else can I verify what I have. Thanks!
Update: vtec wire is nor connected to anything. Just hanging. No CEL lights at all...
Bought it from the previous owner like this. He said he bought it that way also. What do I do with it? Connect it or leave it???

You have a vtec engine in the vehicle.

Lets verify the VIN for the trim level.

1HGCD553....

If your VIN has the number 3,4 on the bolt red digit then it is a LX. If there is a 5/6 it is an EX.

 

The emblems say LX. But I will check the vin to confirm...thanks! Also the vtec solenoid is not connected to anything. Just hanging. I could not find a wire to connect it too either... let me check the vin.....
