Default Warranty Void?

i went to a goodyear dealer today to get my oil changed and tires rotated. the guy at the counter said he used to work at a honda dealership n if i didnt get a 15k mile tune up, honda would void my warranty. is this true, or was he just trying to get $300 out of a teenage kid?

he was being a bit over dramatic .. ok ... A LOT

and 300 dollars for the 15 k is way way too much

all you do is , air filter, cabin filter , oil and filter, tire rotate ........and chk car over ,lube the door hinges
so if they wanted to charge anything close to 300 ,, yeah you are right he was trying to get $ 300 out of anyone he could .. BIG RIP OFF

the only time I take car to dealer is when the "Big" service is due.

I don't trust anyone else with my car...........

Tell us what year/model, so we know which mileage is the BIG ones. But 15k miles is almost never a major service.

If you've only got 15k miles, the car must be pretty new. My 2003 Accord doesn't have a really major service until about 100k miles.

we replace air and a/c filters every 30000 in my area. We're not as dry and dusty.

man we got to do it every year,, it looks pretty nasty when we take it out ,,but like you said,, it is very windy and dusty in the desert

and to replace cabin filter 2003 and newer you DO NOT have to remove the glove box, just uclip it from the sides and drop it down, it takes 10 seconds,, then just remove the filter holder,, unclip it s well and install new filter,, make sure to reinstall it with the arrows pointing down ( air flow )
