I am wondering what this does? I took it off and it did not effect anything but I put it back on. I am just curious.

Default what it is
Its a vibration dampner. I believe Honda calls it a wind stop. It has nothing to do with stopping air however.

it is supose to dampen engine and exhaust vibrations,sometimes they are in strange places and look odd too
