I am getting tired of wiper blades only lasting a little over a month on my car. What are the best blades you have used? Initially most all of them work well but a couple of weeks into it they streak then they just start to self destruct and leave worn rubber on the glass. Is it me or do all the replacement blades stink? Have you had any luck with ones that last a long time?

 

My opinion/personal experience. I use Trico blades, found at many retailers. I also clean the glass and use rain-x. I also try to wipe the rubber down with rubbing alcohol whenever I wash the car(s). Replace mine twice a year, just before spring and just before fall....I guess I'm about due.

Of course it does depend on climate. Temps and the amount of usage will make difference.

 

I just buy refills for the oem wiper blades, less than $10 and the wipers work like brand new again. Many aftermarket blades don't work well on the Accord's windshield.

 

Mike....there is something wrong with your wiper system,, blades should last a lot longer than 1 month and then some,,,,,,,,,chk wiper arms make sure that they are not bent and blades do not sit evenly on the glass ,,Any weird debris on the glass when you use the wipers thus tears the rubber up ??if you try to clean just fluid off windshield the inserts should last quite a while ..
