2003 V6 auto Honda Accord Coupe has a bad transmission. it slips really bad trying to go into third and has gotten so bad it wont even shift into 3rd half the time. The car is no-longer being driven. anyway, just curious if there are any other cars using a compatible trans... such as 98-02 accord v6(still a j30 engine) any TL's or anything else?

 

98-02 accord uses the 4sp auto, they have issues with converter or diff failure so you don't want that. The 00 up TL, 02 up Oddyssey both use 5sp auto, but they're not exactly the same as the one from the accord, also they have common problems either converter failure or 3rd gear problem. Should just fix your tranny, as 3rd clutch drum in your car is not that hard to get to, could be done in the car without pulling the tranny out of the car, a shop lift will help big time.
