What is up with 5th Gen. paint jobs

Default What is up with 5th Gen. paint jobs

Why is mine and almost all 5th Gens i see have fading paint jobs. what did
they do wrong in those years.

Well most Honda reds are known to fade. But it probably doesn't help they are all 15 or more years old.

Oh well. I had a 78 Chevy K5 Blazer with the Original paint job and it never faded,
gas just got to expensive. Most be that Japanese Paint

Must be that AMERICAN paint. Seems to me that 5th-gen is during the time when US-EPA was requiring everyone to reformulate paints for lower volatile organics. Car companies (paint companies actually) were playing with water-borne paints & electrostatic stuff & all kinds of things.

with a good 600 grit wet sand, and over again with a 1500 grit... good compound and wax last... you can restore it back to brand new.... If I ever figure out why my 90 accord wont stay runnin... she will be the prettiest, im half way done with the body, looks brand new
