Hey guys, I'm here in Central California and went to a local Honda dealership to price an exhaust valve spring and the guy at the counter lets me know that it will cost $21.00 plus tax. Now then, I go online and find Majestic Honda 1300 Eddie Dowling Hwy Route 146, Lincoln, RI 02865 a Honda dealership, and for the same valve spring, he's got it at 7.50, what gives?

 

I have found local car dealerships always ask insane prices for parts. I think its for the guy that comes in and doesn't know anything about cars and will pay the ridiculous price. I have found they are almost always willing to negotiate and I can get my local Honda dealership to match majestic Honda prices.

 

X2. Always have the online Honda dealer's price page printed out when you walk into the local parts dept. I've had local parts dept's quote me almost double the list price for a part but back down to the online price when I whip out the online price printout. It's ridiculous.
