Default When were transmission problems fixed?

Hi all,

I'm looking at possibly picking up an 03 accord ex coupe.

In doing some research, I saw that the TL's and some accords have pretty ugly transmission problems from 98 - (2002 -2004).

The reports seem to vary. On the TL's, it seems like the problem still existed in '04, but on accords it was fixed in 03?

Or can I still expect the transmission issue on an 03 accord?

I believe there was a transmission recall for the TL and Accords in 03, so the 03s should have had the original bad-design transmissions swapped out with better ones ...

So basically anything 04 and newer should be safe then right?

In 7th generation03's and some 04's had problems with the auto 5 speed trannies. They were not swapped out (unless they cratered), there is an oil jet retrofit that supposedly fixes the problem. I think 05 andforward are squared away.
