Default Wiring by driver side knew

I have a 2007 Honda Accord and behind the knee booster panel I am missing some type of connector for wires that won’t allow my car to fully start it’s wrapped in grey tape

I'm guessing this something done by the previous owner and not and OEM assembly. You may need to get this professionally diagnosed.

Can you take some focused photos of the wires in question and post them? I need to see the exact wire colors and terminal connectors.

Also, what trim level is this (e.g., 4 or 6 cylinders, LX, EX, etc.)?

They may not have anything to do with why the car is not fully starting though.

Judging by the length of that wire harness, it either plugs into something on the steering column or maybe on the dash panel near your left knee. Try to find something within reach of the harness that may be missing a connector.

That tan wire looks burnt/shorted from your picture. Is that the case?

Also, how/why did you find this unconnected harness? How did you break it?

Ok thanks very helpful and to be honest I just got my car back from my sister . She was borrowing it and told me someone tried to steal my car . It looks like they may have tried to hot wire it and in the process broke it . Bc I have never had an issue with my car it was well maintained . Also when I got up inside under the knee bolster panel it looks like it’s running from my steering wheel as you indicated .

Looking closer, I see the broken connector in the first picture.

The white and green connector, did you unplug them, or were they disconnected?

Can you follow the broken wire harness to see if it ends near where you insert the key?

Also, can you use your phone to take a picture under the dash with the phone laying on the floor? You will have to use the front camera to do this. Being zoomed in makes it hard to figure out where you are at under the dash.
