wont start
i went out this morning and started the car to warm up, it fired right up. went back outside 5 mins later and it wasn't running. when i tried to restart the battery was dead. put charger on and gave it a strong charge, it will turn over fine but will not fire. don't know where to start, with the fuel system or the ignition? oh it's an 02 accord with 117k. check engine light is not on and hasn't never been on. need some help narrowing down the problem. whats got me the most puzzled is how the battery was fine when i first started it and then when i came back out and it was dead within a 5 min window. all the battery conections are good have checked for all of that and the cables are in good shape. any advise on where to start or how to diagnose the problem would be great thanks.

when you turn the key on you should listen for the fuel pump to run for a few seconds.
You can spray some carb cleaner into the throttle body and then try starting, to see if the engine will run for a few seconds on the fumes.
To check for spark, pull off one of the plug wires, and use an old spark plug touching ground while someone cranks the engine; or you can put a long screw driver up the plug boot and hold the metal shank 1/4" away from the valve cover bolt and have someone crank the engine while you check for spark.
