Would you worry about these leaks?
Hello,
Daughter is home from college for Easter and I was doing an oil change on her 99 Accord L4 last night. She has 109K miles on it. I noticed some minor seepage around the back of the P.S pump and where the distributor goes into the head. Should I plan on some new o-rings or not worry about it. Can I get by with just replacing the back o-ring on the PS pump or do a complete rebuild? What about the PS hoses? They're ten years old - replace as a precaution? I really need this car to be as trouble-free as possible (and it has) for my daughter at college. By the way I'm not a virgin anymore - did timing belt, water pump, hoses, plugs, wires, oil changes, tranny fluid changes, etc. one thing I neglected was the cabin filters - just changed them for the first time - they were ready for me too! Anyhow please give me your comments. Thanks, RTV55

Sure, replace the dist 'O' ring and the P/S pump seal.

When the oil leaks down from the dist it can make a stink if it gets to the exhaust pipe.
The reason to replace the P/S seal is to be sure the pump doesn't suck in air and turn the fluid into foam.
