I am new to the forum and I was wondering if I am somehow notified when someone posts in a thread that I posted in or replied to something I wrote in a thread.

Yes, check your user settings........"User CP"

Left side: "Edit Options"

Second "box": Messaging & Notification, the second part of that is "Default Thread Subscription Mode".....pick the option you want.
