Default 97 2.2L F22B2 Engine Header? different muffler?

I'm lookin into performance headers... possibly DC racing? I want something that will give me a nice increase in acceleration. I currently am running a Spectre CAI and straight pipe with 3A racing muffler on it. I'm curious what muffler or glasspack will completely eliminate the raspiness from my exhaust sound. I still want the deep tone that I get from the 3A racing muffler but when I get on it, say entering a highway... I hear a loud raspy sound... similar to a weedeater... any suggestions here? Flowmaster maybe?

Thanks

go with a magnaflow and have your original resonator replaced with a longer one

If you want a good header get one made by bisimoto. It will cowst you 600-800bucks but you gain 20 + hp. Now you will aspens 300+ for dc crap and gain a little 2hp. You do the math

I have never seen 20+ hp from a header bolted to a stock engine but I will second bisimoto makes nothing but the best. Altho IMO 600-800 for a header isnt worth it unless you are boosting. as far as deep sounding exhausts I miss the dc sports TCS exhaust they made for a very short time for the 94-97 accords. Its a little redneckish (no offence to anyone here) but you could add a resinator to your exhaust and lower the tone, but thats some cut and weld stuff.

Bisimoto f22a header makes 26hp UNTUNED and even more when tuned. So I don't see why you can't get close to the same results with a f22b engines.

bisimoto headers for an f22a1 makes 17 whp according to bisimoto.com. bisi does not make a sohc f22b anything exept an intake heatshield gasket. no head gaskets no headers no valve springs or flywheels. the f22b2 is basically unsupported by bisimoto.
