I have apexi ws2 exhaust, dc ceramic headers, and aem sri and I gotta say about the sound is nice. Its not too loud and its not too wimpy sounding. If you want more performance mods after the basics, most usually get pulleys and cams and some head in the direction of a unichip. Im getting pulleys and a unichip after i get my dvd and monitor installed in my dash area, oh and rims too.

Also, i can never get tired of how my car sounds when I go wot. I have a 02 av6 btw.

19accord97 how do u hear ur intake over ur exhaust? every since i got my headers and catback exhaust i dont hear the intake anymore
Sorry for the late response. I dont know, the exhaust is just so quiet. I can only hear it on start-up, and once n awhiel I can hear the headers. But the exhaust...noo way, the intake just destroys everything else.

As far as this car is concerned Sparco...this car is in excellent shape. You do realize that things can be fixed. if something breaks, its pretty easy to fix it right? If you look at the whole world of modifying, how did it start? Well I am kind of an old school type. I don't have a sponsorship, nor do I have $20,000 to just blow on stuff for appearance. I want to make the car we bought better. Spending a little money on this car is a pleasure to me. I doesn't use oil, it has no weird noises, and it runs pretty damn good if I may say so myself. Look honestl;y at the "tuning" world. Who in their right mind would think to put $100,000 into a Supra? I would love to have the car, and to build it myself, but you gotta have the money to do so. I want a fast car, I could go buy one from the factory, like a Z06 Vette, but I am never satisfied. Buy something cheap and build it, and then move on, and let someone buy your used stuff. Thats all this world is about. If you were to look at you car...how much did you pay for it? How much do you have into the modification of your car? OK...I have a 1990 Cadillac, I should have gotten rid of it a long time ago...but I love it. I purchased it about 5 years ago for $3,250. I have about $6,000 into fixing it, and its not even really modified...barely at all really. I have purchased two rebuilt trannys, first one was crap. I have now rebuilt the top end of the motor. I want a lot of power, but its a one off motor, a 4.5L V8, nothing like a 5.0, or a 5.7! So I cannot get headers, heads, cams, or anything we as tuners would do first. It has to be all custom. $$$$$ The Honda will be easier, and more accessable. Lets get to it you know. Where I work right now, money doesn't exactly roll into my hands.ENOUGFH already, tuning costs, and thats not the point...we just want more power, better handeling, and cooler looks. Thats why we buy what we do, and why we spend our money on our cars. We love them because they are OUR cars. Thansk to everyone for their thoughts and their posts...it gives me great ideas as to what I want.

ya i agree with poser. first start with the intake, headers and exhaust. like he also said u dont need to spend 200 dollars on an intake just get it off ebay and buy a differ filter at the store. for headers and exhaust it will be hard to get it to sound like a v8 but there mite be something out there that can make it. maybe magnaflow exhaust?? then go with the underdrive pulley. i have and AEM pulley kit on my car. and then pretty much ur set with all the bolt on mods.
I read through a lot of forums and I keep hearing people saying that? Can you really just get a cheap intake and just buy a good filter at a store? I am planning to get a new intake for my car also and I hear people saying get a cheap one off ebay, but doesn't cheap ones doesnt perform as good as the expensive ones.. thats my question.

Styl3zt: There's not really enough difference in the performance department to justify the cost of the better systems. Technically, the V2 does perform better, but a fraction of a HP is not really worth the cost IMO. I have an Injen CAI that's polished and I paid a bit more for the look, but I do not expect it to perform much better than a PVC pipe with a filter on it.

sevillized: There's no feasible way to make our cars do the quarter mile in 10 seconds. If you plan to go beyond the normal bolt on mods, the tranny will need to be upgraded to a Dr. Evil. That cost about $5000 ..... I got a price on it 2 weeks ago. It's becomming apparent to me that the best mod for our car is a 75 HP wet shot of nitrous! The other good power-adder is the Comptech supercharger, but that's also almost $5000 installed with the accessories that you'd need. ******* Before you do these kind of upgrades, you should improve the handling. My handling is sick, so I can safely recommend any of my bolt-ons. ...... a good radar detector is also a good upgrade.

I see. One more question. I also read from somewhere in the other forums, (i forgot which one) that the cheap intakes on ebay doesnt fit into the car unless you do a little modification to it. Is this true? and you gotta buy additional things to install it
