i just got my AEM SRI and i have no clue how to remove my stock intake. does anyone kno step by step how to remove the stock intake or kno where i can find the directions?? thanks!

You didnt get directions with your intake?

The intake should probably have a hose clamp type connection at the throttle body, and the air box is probably bolted down with about four long screws. Thats how mine was, but mine is a 94...

thanks j_man!! i also heard that the bottom portion(baffle box) of the intake needs to be taken out by removing the bumper? any instrction on removing the bumper and removing the baffle box??

Sorry honda_dude, can't help u with that. Maybe call a dealership and ask them if it is necessary to remove the entire bumper to get to that box. They usually will give helpful info on that sort of thing.

no need to remove the bumper. if your arm is long enough, you can just remove the bottom piece of the intake w/o taking off the bumper.

i just finished putting my short ram intake in. wen i turn off my engine, the intake makes a SWOOSH sound. Is that normal?? and wen my engine is running, i can hear the intake sucking air in. Is that normal??

I've not removed all thebaffle/crap in the fender.Why worry abouta few pounds? It's not like it will cut a 1/2 second off of your 0-60 time. I chose to leave it alone, it's not worth all the trouble to me.

Mine is still intact. I see NO reason to go to all the trouble to remove it when it offers ZERO advantages.
