man! after a day of driving with my AEM SRI, its awesome! i can hear it ROAR!! at 3000 rpm. but i didn't take the bottom part out of the stock intake (baffle box./ res..something) Will taking the bottom part out change my performance and will keeping it in decrease it? (as in HP, gas mileage, airflow)
THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP!

I've not removed all thebaffle/crap in the fender. Why worry abouta few pounds? It's not like it will cut a 1/2 second off of your 0-60 time. I chose to leave it alone, it's not worth all the trouble to me.

When I put my SRI in, I took the resonator box out. I dont think it probably helped much, but I wanted to get rid of it. It serves no use for me. It might get a little more airflow without it there, but I doubt if its much. Mine was a huge pain in the rear to remove, so I would say its probably not worth it.
