Default aftermarket header trouble

Whats up guys,

So I just put on a new set of 2" headers stainless. I could not get the old O2 out, So I drove it home and the check eng. light was on, NO BIGY I have no O2 sensor in, then so I bought a new one. put it in. unplugged battery. plugged it in. then drove it NO LIGHT 50 min later light came on!! So I replaced the air filter. same steps with battary. and lights still on.

could the O2 go bad already? or something more?

Note: car has over 200k and I'm just trying to make it run good. I'm not trying to race it on the weekends. I put new heads on cause the old ones rusted out and had holes in them. I also deleted the CAT.

Get the code scanned. Is this header on a go kart? What Accord is it?

Probably a p0420 code from deleting the cat. Been having that problem myself. More than likely not an o2 sensor code that's gonna come up. p0420 is a bad cat code.

hahaha its a go kart... JK its a 92 Accord LX, there for I cant get a CODE READING also I have not had a cat since it fell off a year ago, so I think its save to say thats not it. I have noticed that it ideals at 5000-4000 in Drive, also ideals at 15000 when its in N. Could that be the Rev limiter? and Would the rev limiter throw a code?

its a 92 so does that make it pre OBD? if its OBD 1 you can go to autozone and they'll let you use a scanner for free but im not sure if your car is OBD or not.

Yeah your car should be OBD 1. Autozone or any autoparts store will let you use thier scanner for free but it has to be an OBD 1 scanner. It'll probably be a handheld tool that will only give you a code that you'll have to look up, just google it, probably be a p followed by a series of numbers. Let me know if you make any headway and if I helped at all.

It's OBD-1 but you don't need a scanner. Jumper the SCS connector with a paperclip & watch the CEL flashing out the code. The DIY section has a link to instructions.
