Whats a good quieter muffler?

 

magnaflow straight flow muffler is quiet but has that deep rumble tone.love the sound of it.

 

I second that! I just got a magnaflow muffler with 2.25 in piping and am loving it! That thing has a very deep tone, not ricey at all.

 

ok now that we re on the topic. when u add headers and exhausts u gain hp right. but because of the loss of compression u can loose torque.... am i right? if so will ur car be faster... u will lose low end torque but will gain hp. so i cant make my car jump whenever i step on the gas, but it will pick up speed quicker if i leave my foot on the throttle....?

sorry these are just thoughts and theories of mine....

 

Actually, I believe you gain both... Most people have said that you notice more low end power when you add these things on.

 

Another magnaflow fan. I have dual magnaflow muffs on my accord and they sound great. They have a nice tone on takeoff and are quieter at cruising speed (55-65mph) so you can hear your music good.

 

so where can I find these mufflers? Ebay doesn't seem to have just the muffler... I'd have to get the full catback which I really can't afford now...

 

Maybe try cardomain....also to save some money maybe have a local shop do the piping for you.

About the sri, you don't want to use the filter that comes with it though do you? If you get the one off e-bay.

 

From what I have read on the forum, absolutely not. Everybody says to either get an AEM dryflow filter (which does not need to be oiled) or a K&N filter (does need to be oiled). I believe you will wind up paying about $50 for the AEM from what I have researched. Everyone on here seems to like the dryflow.
