trust me ive done plenty of research before i bought it...i just have a few questions thats all i mean look i know that CAI disadvantages are that moisture can get insde and mess up the engine....i know tha it takes longer for the air to get to the engine and with and SRI i kno that the air tends to be warmer tan the stock intake because of the distance from the engine and i also know that there arent really many performance increases with an SRI the noise is indeed louder with one and the filters also tend to be a bit bigger...but they will normally run u about 50 less than a CAI....trust me....I KNOW MY STUFF..lol....i been readin this stuff for the past week...up until 4 in the mornin...i jus needa know...is my SRI set up right and should i just get another filter because thats the performace right?...the filter not the pipe...should i get a better filter?? and if so what kind should i get because right now i have a spectre

The filter should be fine, when it gets dirty just replace it with a nicer, name brand one.

Probably Weapon-R and K&N, plus the ones you listed are the only filters I'd put on my car...

If you can't afford it, save up for it. Anotha day anotha dolla, right?

I totally cheated on installing my CAI

Well, call it cheating or ignorance. I didn't know how to remove the resonator, or didn't know it came out at all. So instead of taking it out, I cut my pipe maybe 6 inches so the air filter is sitting right next to the battery.

It's good because I live in Washington. AKA, it rains like ****ing crazy. I don't want my air filter that close to the ground. Sometimes I have to conquer some fat puddles. It makes me nervous in my little honda.

NOW IT'S BAD because it's not installed right. My intake isn't bolted down anywhere. I'm not concerned about it though. My tower brace holds it down, and my battery prevents it from shaking from left to right.

And also, since it's not installed correctly, the nipple on the intake (that attaches to the breather hose) doesn't really match up to the breather hose. I don't even have the breather hose attached. I accidentally attached some vacuum line to it and never have fixed it.

^ So then you wasted like $50+ on a CAI and converted it to a SRI pretty much if I read that right lol.
