can my header be powder coated?

Default can my header be powder coated?

my dc sports ceramic header isnt installed yet because im still waiting for megan racing to ship my catback, and i dont want my ceramic header to discolor and stuff too
i was wondering if i could powder coat it and would that be fine?
even under the extreme heat?

if you use high temp powder it should be fine, but i hear that powder is really expensive.

honestly? nothing. the ceramic coating shouldnt change much over time. it might rust, but thats the downside to not using stainless steel.

yea, that sucks that they dont make stainless steel for my car...
they do, type in "91 accord header" in ebay. Megan is there too.

yea, i was about to get the megan racing header until i found out it's not carb exemp

I know this isn't the best option but look into high temp rust-o-leum spray paint. They make it for BBQ's and such, I think it will handle the temperatures that your header is putting out. This claims that it can handle 300-800 degrees F. I don't think a header gets hotter than that but does anyone know?

not sure, pretty effin hot. but what i was told is that the thing with the high temp spray paint is that it isnt designed for long periods of heat, only short periods. and everyone who i know used it said it flaked off and looked worse than before. i would powder coat it if anything.
