I know this isn't the best option but look into high temp rust-o-leum spray paint. They make it for BBQ's and such, I think it will handle the temperatures that your header is putting out. This claims that it can handle 300-800 degrees F. I don't think a header gets hotter than that but does anyone know?

not sure, pretty effin hot. but what i was told is that the thing with the high temp spray paint is that it isnt designed for long periods of heat, only short periods. and everyone who i know used it said it flaked off and looked worse than before. i would powder coat it if anything.
