CAT problem

Default CAT problem

I have a 98 Accord LX with 115K miles6 cyl. My Check Engine light came on, and repair man saidI need tohave a newCAT and O2 sensor, its about 1000$!!! I am student and could not put so much money on it. Is it a big problem to my car?I just gotthis carand want it works for2~3 years, and it runs great now!So is there any big problem if I do not replace CAT and sensor?? Thanks a lot!

isnt $1000 the dealer price?
because i know those things are super expensive at the dealer
when i needed a new one, i just bought one online at
www.summitracing.com

magnaflow catalytic converter for $130 something
works great and i did my smog check right after

i dont know about the o2 sensor

What did the code read? If it's P0420 search P0420 on the forum here and you'll see what you can do.
