Hi, I have been looking at exhausts mainly the evo2 but,i found the apexi ws cheaper and with good reviews on this site. Which exhaust delivers a better quality sound and with a quieter tone. Thanks for the help.

 

From looking at the evo2, it seems like it would be a fair bit louder than the Apexi WS. I however have not heard the evo2, just guessing by looking at the size. I can say that I really like the Apexi. Nice deep and quiet tone.

 

I have heard the evo2 on an Acura RSX and it did not seem loud at lower rpm`s but opened up and got louder higher in the rpm range. I`m assuming the sound would be simmilar with an accord. I would just not want to buy an exhaust which is equal to the sound and preformance of the stock system. does anyone have good video or sound clips of either on an accord or similar cars.

Took some searching, but I did find you a link for an F22 motor (theres a link on this page in the Notes section):

It seems these are the differences I noticed between the two:
-The evo2 seems to jump in at the higher rpms, while the apexi is audible from the 1.3k to 3k range. (After about 3k my exhaust gets drowned out by my intake.)
-The apexi sounds much deeper and might be a bit more quiet, whereas the evo2 is a bit more raspy.
-The evo 2 is a bit more expensive.
-I've read some people with the evo2 having clearance issues or rub issues if they have a swaybar (while I was looking for the clips), so take a look into that before you buy just incase.

As far as performance goes, I can only guess that the evo2 may be about a horsepower better.

To my untrained ear, the new one seems a little bit deeper, but its pretty close..and heres another I found with a WSII on a F23, but it's pretty much just a drive by:

WSII: 60mm on the piping and 100mm on the tip
Stainless with titanium particle paint coated mild steel and a stainless steel muffler
Evo2: 60-70mm on the piping and a 115mm tip
Fully Stainless Steel

Thanks for all your help. I will likely buy apexi now that i have more information on it unless i can find the evo2 cheaper which i doubt.
