Intake on 02 Accord SE
Hi... been lurking here for a while.. and finally registered...
Anyways, I was wondering if there's any problems of putting
an intake on an '02 Accord SE?
Is the engine any different from the other models like EX, LX, etc.?
I wouldn't have to deal with any MAF sensors, like in the '03+, would I?
Basically, can I just buy like an AEM SRI, and it would just bolt on, without having to worry about any sensors?
I've been searching but I cant find any answers...
I've used the keywords "02 accord" "accord SE intake" "02 SE Intake" etc.
Thanks in advance!

RE: Intake on 02 Accord SE
Welcome to the forum. Thanks for registering. Basically a SRI is going to replace everything from your throttle body down. So if you've got sensors (MAF is a good example) anywhere on your intake tubing then yes you're going to have to fit them. (don't worry about hoses) However, if there's no sensors then it's straight bolt on and go. SUPER easy to do.

RE: Intake on 02 Accord SE
Hi! Thanks for the quick answer...
One more thing, would you happen to know if Injen is CARB legal?
A quick browse on their website provides me no information about it
being CARB legal... Maybe I'm really just not looking enough, hehe.
Anyways, if it's not, then I'll probably just pick up an AEM one...
Thanks Again!
