Cool cold air intake vs colder air intake!!

hey guys, i have a 2000 accord 2door 4cyl and i was just doing some thinking about my short ram intake from injen. i want to buy the other part of the tube that takes the filter down in my bumper to make it a cold air intake and, this is where i was thinking, if i take a intercooler for a turbo charger and connect a long pipe to my throttle body and at the other end of the intercooler put my K&N filter on that (with a pipe of course to get it out of the rain) would that just be out ragious?? or can this be done without any problems. i know i need some custom work and probably ganna cost me. but can i do this and would you?? also would it make more power?

Thanks

actually, it depends on the length of the pipes. you'll lose pressure per friction (yes, air has friction as too). but before i was done w/ my turbo system, i had the intercooler connected just the way you're thinking of putting yours. i didn't feel any difference but there could be .5-1 HP more....

so your saying ill just be wasting money if i dont have a turbo to cool that air? is my short ram injen doing a good enough job or will it need to go in the front bumper?

another note: how is a turbo in your 2000 accord?? nice??

what im saying is that you'll end up spending too much $$$ for too little HP... a cold air intake should be better than a short ram but there again, you should not drive over a big puddle of water or you'll hydralock your engine...

as for my accord... well, its just awesome! i love it and this January it will be 2 1/2 yrs since i turbo'ed it...

well i guess ill just make my short ram intake a cold air intake. its just the money i spent should get me an intercooler and the piping...i think. i spent around 300 for it. now i want that extension which would cost more. do you know where i can find one for around that price??

you mean you should spend around 300 for a CAI? no way man... get an ebay CAI and then just buy a good K&N filter... that should be more around $70-90... an intercooler and the installation work that come with it should be enough not to be worth it, let alone the cost of it...
