Default header on 99 2.3 accord

hi, i am new too hondas. i just got a 99 honda accord with a 2.3 vtec motor. i am trying to gain some gas milage and some performance. my stock manifold has a crack in it and was thinking on installing a header. will i gain anything either way? also will i have to do anything as faras tunning. thank you for your help in advance!

To gain gas milage you will want to do as follows... Intake, either short ram or cold air. Exhaust, since your looking at doing a header, get yourself an exhaust made using the same size piping as the collector on your header...No tuning will be necessary with these modifications, although tuning will probably yeild the best increase in gas milage.

After the mods it will be difficult to resist using the gas pedal a bit more.

The mods "should" improve efficiency because of less restriction, etc. But the biggest influence on mpg BY FAR is your own right foot.
