Default magnaflow vs. custom

Quick question for those that have tried Magnaflow's exhausts or had one custom made at a shop. What are the pros and cons of one versus the other? Does it cost more to have a custom one made? Are performance gains any different? Any help would be appreciated.

Custom is not dyno tested for gains nor can you listen to sound clips to hear what it sounds like .... also, unless you knowhow to do accoustic calculations for dynamic systems, there's very little chance that your custom exhaust will perform as well as a tested kit.

My opinion, if your gonna due any kinda exhuast work i would upgrade the piping to maybe 2.5" atleast from the cat_back...if you got the money get a highflow cat and replace the OEM (lots of restriction).

94: keep the cat. the gains are not enough to justify the polutants ..... acid rain contributors. If you want to go the cheap route, do the 2.5" pipe like sublime said. That is the biggest restriction in your system. If you intend to do the pipe and muffler, you might as well get a cat-back system. The last part would be the cat.
