Default Monza exhaust

Okay, I didn't want to hijack someone else's thread so I am coming here. I've seen the full cat back monza systems and they aren't too pricey. I was wondering if anyone knows how loud they are and what, if any, are the gains. Right now I have a horrible aftermarket exhaust on my car and I want something quieter. I like the sound of my engine, not my exhaust! Any ideas how good it is?

Thanks!

a friend of mine had a pacesetter on a PT cruiser. It was pretty quiet and a descent sound, but it had a bubble on the rev-down.

cheap steel, meaning it will rust out quickly? Hmmm.
