i ordered the wrong size tip for my 02 accord. its a 4.5in tip and i was wondering wut is the difference between havein the 4.5in tip and like a 3in tip? i know mods make some what of a difference and so far the mods i have is sparkplu wires, ground wires, aem pulley kit, DC-S 4-2-1 headers and a full N1 exhaust system. is a 4.5in tip bad??

 

a 115 mm tip is pretty big. if you have a turbo or are planning on turbo then that would be good. but for n/a thats gonna be pretty raspy. people are going to be holdin their noses when you go by. maybe a 90 or 100mm tip would be better. make no mistake though a 115mm can sound good. make sure that you get a big can and put a resonator in between the cat and the can. greddy and apexi world sport are great muffs

as far as the looks. how will it sound? i have the DC-S 4-2-1 headers goin down to 3in and the tip is a 4.5in

 

once you get a higher flow (I.E. a turbo, supercharger, or bore over Naturally Aspirated engine) then it will improve the sound. If you stick with what you have and put a 4.5" on there it's not going to sound that great... That's my opinion anyway...
