I have a 98 Accord EX (bone stock) and my check engine light turned on and i was told i need a new Catalytic Converterand a new O2 sensor... That would not get your check engine light to go off. Your best bet would be to find an aftermarket replacement cat or a used cat at a junkyard.
Do a search on this site. I know several have been recommended before, but I cannot recall any brands.

 

What code(s) are you getting? I know you said bone stock, but just to make sure, you have an OEM cat right now, right?
