New Muffler
Ok....looking at getting rid of the fart can style muffler that can with my catback system. Looking at a 2.5" in and 2.5" out muffler from A Spec Products

Tricky part is that i want it to stay safe from the elements of winter without swapping the exhaust itself out.
The first idea was to make a swapable system with welded flanges to make switching as easy as 3-4 bolts. but stainless steel is expensive.
-----Idea im thinking of is to get the muffler, steel wool/sand paper the muffler down and paint it a decent silver color using high heat engine paint, then weld the muffler to the system. the muffler wont tarnish with the paint protectant. (of course i'll primer and clear so its good) But do i need stainless wire in the welder? could i just tack the pipe together with regular steel wire, cut the hangar off the old muffler, and tack that to the new one? would it be strong enough?
Help please? lol
