Question about SRI that Im gettin...
Hey, I got a '97 Accord LX and I'm gettin' an SRI for it.
I heard that if you get a new intake you might have to change to a different oil and fuel and possibly have to get new air flow sensors, all of this to compensate for a different air/fuel ratio.
Is this true? and if so would anyone know why I might have to change concerning what I mentioned above?
Thanks!

I'm glad someone asked this question because I was wondering the same thing. I actually received my Injen SRI today. I think people refer to changin to a different oil when talkin about a CAI. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I want to know this info before I get my SRI installed.
I have an intake on both my cars, all my friends have intakes. The only thing I have heard of anyone changing is the MAF sensor because if you dont you'll get a CEL on some cars. But luckily Honda doesnt use MAF sensors.
Next think is people will tell you you will have to get a new tune and run bigger injectors.

I have a 97 Accord LX, would that have an MAF sensor?
And live2rice...are you saying that i will need bigger injectors and a new tune or are you saying that it is a common misconception?
CEL=?

If you listened to all the BS out there youd never buy anything for your cars..By the way..everyone ..dont use apostrophies in the forums..they multiply..
