I dont think you have an MAF sensor. I posted that mostly for the benefit of other people with newer cars who might read this.

From 98 it was used only on the ULEV engine (California).
My 2003 LX does NOT have one, but the Calif engine DOES.
My 07 Civic LX DOES have one.
So they are getting more common as EPA regs get tighter.

 

You wont get a CEL, I have the same exact car, a lx with a SRI and I dont have a CEL and didnt upgrade anything else.
