TSX intake on my `07 K24A8
Finally done thanks to the archived how-to on other forums. The engine in my 7th gen. is basically stock(...with the exception of an AEM dryflow panel filter and a silicone intake boot.). I purchased a used lower intake manifold from a `07 Acura TSX along with the bottom support bracket and thermal gaskets. It's a direct replacement of the stock unit complete with all required vacuum fittings and accepts the stock throttle body.(The larger TSX throttle body can also be used but it requires changing some intake plumbing) The TSX lower intake has a larger, high-volume plenum with bigger intake runners which seems to enhance throttle response and provide a bit more power in the low/mid range. It also provides an audible "growl" as the rpms climb. No CEL or running issues. Technically, it is an OE part which makes the retrofit a bit easier to swallow. Well worth the 45min install and $140 spent, IMO.
