i have a 01 accord and i could hear minds. it kicks in at about 4500-4700 it just makes a louder sound when it kicks in. and since i have a intake you could hear it. it is bad ***

 

would the loud hum of of the exhaust muffle it or maybe make it subtle?
its hard to trouble shoot the V-tec since i cant manually engage it to check the solenoid or press the plunger mnually to see if it kicks in :/ so im really just hoping thats its just me and not the car

 

i hear mine and i got a intake and exhuast. But to me i hear the car get super loud around 5,000 rpms. But alot of people say it kicks in at 4,500rpms. Anyway vtec makes hondas the smootheness high rpm car i ever driven. When is in the upper Rpms it feels like it belongs there.
