Unhappy 1987 Honda Accord Hatch-back!

Hello everyone! I have a 1987 Honda Accord. It was my mother's pride and joy from the time she bought it (used) in 2005 till she passed away in 2008. That car was her baby, and I refuse to let anyone treat her badly. I actually have an other car that I drive on a regular; however, I would like to fix my new edition to the family! This winter I was driving her for a few... One day I went to start her to warm her up, and I heard a pop and a shhhhhhhhhhhh... So, of course I freaked out and shut her off.... I thought it blew the raidiator! Unfortunately, I think it's a bit more serious. When my husband got home, he started her to see where she sprung her leak, and found that it was coming from the thermostat. He took the thermostat and housing off the engine and found that the bolt that connected the thermostat to the engine broke, and broke it's little hole that is on the engine... We can not figure out what that is called to get a new one if we even can. I'm hoping that I don't need a whole new engine just for that little bolt hole.... If ANYONE knows what I can do it would be much appreciated...

I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but maybe if you post a picture of the part or area it will be easier for others to identify it.

Take that part to your local AutoZone/Advance store and show it to them...they should have that part in stock for you..

A picture would be a good idea! I'll work on that! I'm not sure I can take the piece off the engine to take it to auto zone...

Is this one of the bolts that hold the t-stat housing to the "block"...I've got a few of these in the driveway.....I'd be happy to help.

One question, is the car an DX, LX or LXi - or another way, is it fuel injected or does it have a carb......
