1995 Honda Accord EX
Hello all.
Living in GA, driving a 1995 Honda Accord EX, 342,000 miles.
This car has been through three family members and made it back around. Bought in 95 prior to heading to the Marines, got sent overseas for 3+ years, mother drove while I was out and about. Got back to GA, drove for 3 years, got married, moved to Alaska and car stayed with younger brother in GA. Moved back after Alaska, car is back and running, well, standard for a 17 year old car with 300 thou plus miles.
Wife drives car daily (100 mile round trip) and just recently had to replace VSS. Replaced headlights since the old ones were , well old. Looking at standard stuff coming up, timing belt, water pump, etc. Going to wait for school holiday (wife is a teacher) so I can have a week to try and get it all done. Basic maintenance has been done, both fans replaced, ignition switch, timing belt and water pump at 110,000 or so, front bumper and fender replaced after a slight altercation with a deer, front bumper replaced again after a slight altercation with some moron on a riding lawnmower. All in all, great car, hoping to get 5 more years out of it.
Basic mechanic skills, rebuilt everything from my 66 Fury to the 1999 Honda my brother now owns. Access to decent shop and tools.
Looking forward to exploring the site and gleaning some knowledge. Joe
