1st car 1998 accord
Hi Guys,
just bought my 1st car a used 1998 accord LX sedan 134k miles 4cylinder. joined the forum to learn more stuff about cars, just know how to drive maintenance and other stuff I have no idea. will start reading the manual tonight.

Sadly it is kind of unpreventable, you should keep up with the scheduled transmission flushes; but even this can't guarantee a long life.
There have been some horror stories of people with 98-02s having to replace the automatic transmission 3 or 4 times. There was a class action law suit against Honda over it.
