I just inherited my dad's 2001 4 cylinder accord lx. He bought it new.She's been neglected since she was purchased; infrequent oil changes, fluid changes, filter changes; she's been almost totaled a few times, she was repainted recently, new trannie a few years ago, new engine last year,at least ten new bumperssince purchase. She running at 180,000 miles, and she's been driven rough.My dad passed away from cancer recently and the car has some emotional significance so I want to keep her running as long as possible; I welcome any suggestions.

 

Treat her tender and get the maintenance up to speed and keep it that way and it will more than make it another 100,000 miles
